About tolingo

tolingo is one of the largest and most successful translation agencies in Germany. We have been helping both medium-sized businesses and large enterprises to increase their market share since 2007. With around 50 employees at our office in Hamburg, we create audience-specific multilingual content for our clients every day so that they can communicate effectively in their target markets and boost international sales revenue. Our high-quality translation services and ambitious, client-focused strategy allow us to steadily continue to grow.

Our translation process

Specialist translations can be ordered directly via the webshop at Clients upload the text they want translated and enter a few details about their order. Within seconds, they receive a firm quotation and exact delivery deadline for their translation. tolingo chooses the right translator for the client’s project based on the language combination and subject category. The certified ‘four-eye principle’ prevents errors and ensures high text quality, with translation into the target language and subsequent proofreading being carried out by two separate specialist translators. Clients can view the status of ongoing translation projects in their account at any time, and download translated texts directly.

Our translators

Around 6,000 certified specialist translators work for tolingo in over 30 countries worldwide. In addition to their academic training, they also have many years of professional experience in their subject fields (such as medical technology, patent law or marketing). They translate exclusively within their areas of expertise and only into their native language. Before being approved by tolingo, they undergo a rigorous assessment procedure.

Our quality

tolingo offers the highest quality standards – for our clients and translators as well as for our technology partners. All translation services and processes at tolingo are audited and certified once a year in accordance with specified guidelines. These include the ISO 17100:2015 translation standard, the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 information security management system. Together, these certificates demonstrate that tolingo provides its clients with consistently high quality and maximum data security.
