How it works

Placing an order

Using our price calculator on the homepage you can place your order in three easy steps. In the first step you upload your source file. The number of words to be translated is then automatically calculated. Your file will solely be used for the purpose of word and price calculation and under no circumstances will it be passed on to third parties or used for any other purpose. In the second step you can select the original and target language. You can set an exact time for the desired delivery date in the third step. Our price calculator will use this to determine whether your project should be handled using the Express Service, which will then be processed and calculated accordingly. You will immediately receive a non-binding quote so you can then order online directly.

Your data will solely be used for the purpose of word and price calculation and under no circumstances will be passed on to third parties or used for any other purpose.

You can set the desired delivery date precisely - with an exact time if required. Our calculator will use this to determine whether your project should be handled using the express service, and is then processed and calculated accordingly. In the second column you can select the source and target languages. If you would like your text to be translated into more than one language then you can enter this under "Additional Languages".

You can set the precise delivery date you require - with an exact time if necessary. Our calculator will determine whether your project requires a standard workflow or our express service. The price is then calculated accordingly.

Help us to achieve the best results

Is there any further information which is important for your translation? You can send us this information in the field "Further details about your project". Only in this way can we ensure you the best possible results.

Delivery

At tolingo you always receive your translation in its original format. For example, if you send us your text as a Word document, you will also get it back as a Word document. For pictures and PDF files, we will deliver them to you in a standard format (e.g. Microsoft Word). If you would like to specify a different output format, you can always discuss this with our team.

Translation Management

As a client, you can enjoy the advantages of our Translation Management System, to give you full control of your translation projects. Use the system to request quotations, monitor your projects and view your invoices online in a secure, convenient and centralised location.

Automatic text analysis

Our text analysis automatically calculates the number of words to be translated in your source document. This means we can give you a quote for your translation project any time of day.

The automatic text analysis can process a large number of file formats – in particular all standard Office files:

  • .doc (Microsoft Word)
  • .docx (Microsoft Word Open XML Document)
  • .odt (Open Document Format for Office Applications)
  • .odf (Open Document Format for Office Applications)
  • .xls (Microsoft Excel)
  • .xlsx (Microsoft Excel)
  • .pdf (Adobe portable document format)
  • .pptx (PowerPoint Microsoft Office 2007)
  • .rtf (Rich text format)
  • .txt (Simple Text)
  • .htm (Hypertext Markup Language File)
  • .html (Hypertext Markup Language File)

In addition to this, the text analysis also recognises text in graphics as long as these have been embedded as text into the original document. This is the case, for example, if you have created the graphics in Word or PowerPoint directly. However, the automatic analysis cannot recognise text which has been added to the document in the form of a graphic. Examples of such unrecognisable graphics are inserted screenshots, .gif, .png or .jpg files.

Of course, we are also happy to translate texts which are incorporated in such unrecognisable graphics. This requires an extra stage in the process (DTP), which will then be charged separately. The translation of unrecognisable graphics is not included in automatically calculated quotes. If your source document contains these types of graphics we will get in contact with you.
