You’ll be responsible for continuously building and expanding your own client base, and taking full ownership of these accounts for all translation projects. You’ll also be the key contact for your clients.
Are languages your passion? Have you spent time studying them at university level? Do you love coordinating several things at once without ever losing sight of the big picture? Then our project management team is the place for you! As a project manager, you’ll coordinate translation projects and keep in constant contact with our translators. You’ll be responsible for the commercial and qualitative aspects of your projects.
Do you love communicating with people from different cultures? Are you good at negotiating in tricky situations? Is quality your top priority? Then our vendor management team wants you! As a vendor manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and expanding our pool of translators. Your day-to-day duties will include contract and price negotiations, and you’ll also keep an eye on compliance with our high quality standards.
Have you studied translation? Do you love working with texts all day long? Then you’ll be right at home among our team of in-house translators. German, English and French are target languages for which we’re always looking for new staff to deal chiefly with editing, proofreading and translating tasks.
Our colleagues in finance, office management, human resources, marketing and IT keep everything running from behind the scenes. If an exciting challenge in one of these departments is something you want, take a look at our vacancies right now.
You can apply online by sending us your details directly via email. To do this, simply use our designated email address: jobsnoSpam@noSpamtolingo.com. You can apply for more than one vacancy at a time, or send a speculative application.
Once you’ve emailed in your application, you should get an email from us to confirm receipt – if not, please check whether your application was actually sent. Candidates will then be shortlisted by our HR department. All applications are treated confidentially. You’ll be contacted by us after the shortlisting process. Successful applicants who meet our requirements for the vacancy are then invited to take part in a phone interview, while all other applicants receive a rejection letter by email. A rejection is in no way a judgement or a reflection of doubt regarding your abilities; sometimes a recruitment choice comes down to mere details. Please understand that although we’re unable to send every applicant a rejection letter detailing the reasons upon which our decision was based; however you can contact our HR manager by phone at any time to ask us about our decision.
The application process depends on the vacancy. We usually start with a 20-minute phone interview, during which we ask you some questions about your application and motivations. If successful, you will be invited to a maximum of two interviews with management, human resources and supervisors. Some vacancies also involve a trial period during which you can get accustomed to both the job and team.
We store the personal data that you provide only until the application process is completed.
In the event that you’ve sent us a speculative application, or we can’t currently offer you another position for other reasons, we will ask you whether we may keep your details on file, or not. If you consent to this in writing (informally via email), your data will be stored for another six months. After those six months, you’ll need to give written consent to keep your details on file. Otherwise, your data will be deleted.
People from different career backgrounds are always welcome at tolingo! The most important thing is a compelling personality that fits the company. We believe that people with a passion for languages benefit tolingo even if they don’t yet have any professional experience in the industry. However, specific departments such as our in-house editing team require skills and experience from within the translation industry, or else a relevant academic background, in order to meet our high quality standards.
